Filing boundary
Afghanistan does not use one universal immigration filing channel. MFA and Afghan political or consular missions issue visas, but the competent post and visa category control registration, documents, payment, personal attendance, interview, and passport handling. The reviewed Islamabad mission workflow combines online registration with a printed application and original-document presentation; it is a post-specific example, not a national filing API. The central eConsulate endpoint is not included because its HTTPS service could not be verified, and Wayfinder must not transmit data to, automate, or rely on an insecure HTTP-only endpoint. Tourist, business, entry, student, visitor, arrival, and residence visas have distinct conditions. Residence is only a one-month-to-one-year continuation of qualifying service, business, entry, student, or crew status, not a standalone permanent-residence route. Visitor travel for relatives or friends and the narrow entry-visa provision involving an Afghan foreign-passport holder married to a foreign national do not establish a general family-reunification or dependent-residence pathway. Employment requires the applicable MFA entry-visa process and a separate MoLSA work permit; tourist status does not authorize work. Current MoLSA pages still link older former-government work-permit forms and procedures, so their present legal effect, checklist, fee, filing office, and version must be confirmed before any workflow or form pack is activated. MoJ publishes a current multi-agency citizenship-acquisition process beginning with an applicant request, mission document completion, and original fingerprints, followed by MFA, MoJ, statistics and intelligence checks, commission review, State Administration, and a Prime Minister decree; the service page does not establish a complete current eligibility rule set, filing API, representative-filing entitlement, fee, appeal process, or public acquisition form. The reviewed sources describe browser registration, mission and ministry handling, paper forms, originals, signatures, fingerprints, and physical stages, not a public government API, service account, credential-sharing authority, or automated portal-submission channel. This release catalogs official starting points only; it does not activate an Afghanistan pathway, form-preparation pack, eligibility decision, representative filing, source monitoring, or government submission in Wayfinder.
Representative participation
The reviewed official sources do not establish a general right for a lawyer, agent, or other representative to file an immigration or citizenship application in place of the applicant. MoJ requires defense attorneys to hold an activity license before handling legal cases or acting as defense attorneys in official institutions; professional status does not itself create route-specific immigration filing authority. MFA lists powers of attorney among documents that may be issued or attested, but the reviewed visa and citizenship sources do not state that a power of attorney authorizes representative filing. The current visa form contains an applicant declaration and signature plus a guarantor endorsement. Current mission guidance requires online registration to be printed and brought with the original passport and supporting documents, and a post may require an interview. The current citizenship service begins with the applicant's request and requires original full-palm fingerprints. Employer or company participation in a work-permit matter does not replace applicant-controlled signature, fingerprint, original-document, or attendance stages. Credentials must not be shared, and representative submission must not be claimed without current route- and authority-specific confirmation.
