1. Information we process
Wayfinder processes account identity and contact details; matter participants and access roles; questionnaire and form answers; uploaded documents and document metadata; pathway, country, requirement, review, and activity records; professional profile and engagement information; support communications; and technical security records.
2. Billing information
Where checkout is enabled, Stripe handles payment-method entry and processing for a one-time matter purchase. Wayfinder receives customer, checkout, payment, tax, refund, dispute, status, and receipt references needed to verify matter access and maintain payment history. Wayfinder does not store full card numbers or card security codes. Payment does not authorize sharing matter documents with Stripe.
3. How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, create and resume matters, prepare supported records, organize evidence, control collaboration, monitor official-source dependencies, document reviews and authorizations, prevent abuse, support users, operate billing, and maintain an auditable service history.
4. Access and disclosure
Matter information is available to authorized matter members according to their recorded role. The new service uses Clerk for identity, Vercel for application hosting and private document storage, Neon PostgreSQL for application records, and Stripe for payments. The existing Sites service is separate; its users and matters are not automatically transferred into the new service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of an authorized business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Legal professionals
When you invite a legal professional, you direct Wayfinder to make the matter information available within the recorded access scope. Platform access does not by itself create representation. Professional retention, confidentiality, and file obligations may apply independently.
6. Retention and deletion
Records are retained while needed to provide the service, protect account and matter integrity, maintain billing and audit history, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal or professional obligations. Deletion requests may be limited by active matters, shared records, payment records, legal holds, security needs, or required retention.
7. Security
Wayfinder uses authenticated access, role checks, private storage controls, integrity records, and event history designed to protect case data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their sign-in account, avoid sharing invitation links, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
8. International processing
Immigration matters frequently involve multiple countries. Service providers and authorized matter participants may process information in jurisdictions different from where a user lives. Applicable law and provider safeguards govern that processing.
9. Your choices
You may review and update many account and matter fields in the workspace, manage member access, download a matter record, review matter-linked payment records, and request access or deletion support. Do not upload information you are not authorized to provide.
10. Related policies
Use of the service is also governed by the Terms of Service. One-time matter-payment practices are described in the Billing Policy. Material policy changes will use a new effective date.
11. Contact
For privacy or records requests, contact chrisbakhit@gmail.com. Do not email identity documents, card details, or passwords.
